The Internal Medicine Department of Basrah College of Medicine held Monday, November 22, 2021, under the patronage of the President of Basrah University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Mortada Muhammad Salih Al-Musafir, a scientific symposium entitled the latest developments in Hypertension. Where the symposium touched on six topics on Hypertension and management of treatment-resistant cases. Its aim is to diagnose hypertension complications using the echocardiogram and the modern “strain rate” technology. It also included training doctors on the devices mentioned in the Cardiac Resuscitation Unit at Basrah General Hospital to diagnose high blood pressure complications early.
