The Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, Professor Murtadha Mohammed  Saleh Al-Musafer, participated in the activities of the Fourth International Scientific Conference of society  of iraqi Surgeons, which was held at the Rotana Hotel in Baghdad on 26 and 27 April 2023.

The conference included various lectures and scientific research in the field of surgery by that was presented by international surgeons from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Discussions were held to exchange ideas and gain surgical experiences.

The  Dean delivered a research paper on developments in the treatment of ureteric  stones(  Uretroscopic Management of Small Distal Ureteral Stone: Predicting its difficulty ) and focused on the most important factors that hinder the descent of small lower ureteric  stones despite administration  of optimum medications to help in their descent.

The Dean received a certificate of participation in the conference.
