The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, organized a lecture on epidemiology of trauma at the department of family and community medicine presented by Dr. Layla Taher Abbas for students of the fourth stage in the college. The lecture aimed to study the importance of trauma and traffic accidents in society, as it is one of the most important causes of deaths. The risk factors that increase their occurrence were highlighted. The lecture also discussed the most important ways that can be followed to reduce the rates of these accidents and their complications.
