Board research at the College of Medicine, University of Basra discussed a comparative study on the response of the Epley maneuver and the administration of betahistine dihydrochloride among patients with benign paroxysmal postural vertigo of student Zaid Ibrahim Ismail.
The research aims to evaluate the efficacy of the EPLI method in treating benign paroxysmal positional vertigo on a group of patients as well as to evaluate betahistine dihydrochloride in treating this vertigo on another group of patients and to compare which of the two methods is better for these patients. Drug treatment, but drug treatment is better than the Epley method for treating the secondary symptoms associated with dizziness, such as nausea, vomiting, and headache. The research recommended the use of both methods simultaneously, as the patient is treated by the EPLI maneuver and given the drug treatment Betahistine Dihydrochloride for a month to get the best result.
