The college of Medicine University of Basrah organized a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people to express the solidarity of the Iraqi people with the Palestinian cause.

The stand, in which the college's students, teachers and employees participated, included raising Palestinian flags, dedicating the  Surat Al-Fatihah from the holy Qur’an  to the souls of the martyrs of Al-Aqsa, reading  verses from  the Holy Quran, and standing a minute of silence in mourning the souls of the martyrs.

A number of  students also participated and a number of enthusiastic poems that dealt with the Palestinian issue were read . 

The Dean of the College, Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer , stressed the Iraqi people's stand with the Palestinian people and their pride in the victories of the Palestinian resistance and their heroes who embodied the most wonderful images of heroism and steadfastness, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility for the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people, and to support their right to liberate their land.
