The College of Medicine of Basra University held its evaluation conference for the academic year 2017-2018 at Al-Zahra Hall in the College of Medicine, in the presence of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs Dr. Shaker Abdul-Salem Nima and the Director of Basra Health, Dr. Abbas Khalaf Al-Tamimi, and the former President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Thamer Ahmad Hamdan. The conference opened by reading verses from the praiseworthy dhikr and reading Surat Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Abbasi, and then by the dean's assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the most prominent achievements of the College of Medicine on the scientific and administrative level, citing the most prominent challenges that the college faced in the 2017 academic year -2018.
The students also had a role in the conference by reviewing the results of their questionnaire about their satisfaction with the college’s performance in the aforementioned year
