The College of Medicine organizes a symposium on the latest developments in pathology

 

 

 The Pathology and Forensic Medicine Department of the College of Medicine at Basra University organized a scientific symposium on the latest developments in pathology, with the participation of a group of college teachers.  The symposium aims to introduce the latest developments in pathology and to reflect the need for diagnostic methods.  The definition included the latest classification of malignant kidney tumor and a description of how to apply it, addressing the issue of free DNA in the bloodstream and its applications in pathology and tumors, and measuring the genetic blood cells through flow cytometry compared to the slide method in the carriers of the trait and patients with sickle cell anemia.  The symposium recommended the necessity of implementing the new classification of malignant kidney tumors and taking practical steps to start examining free DNA in the bloodstream.
