Board research in the College of Medicine discusses the value of trichoscopy in diagnosing common hair loss diseases

 

 Board research at the College of Medicine at Basra University discussed the value of trichoscopy in the differential diagnosis and diagnosis of common hair loss diseases by student Shahd Fahmi Theban. The research aims to compare the characteristics observed by the trichoscope for different types of hair loss and also in order to find out if the trichoscope is useful in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of common hair diseases without the need for invasive procedures, and the research found that the yellow and black points are the most common among diseases Alopecia areata While the exclamation mark was the most useful, and the examination showed hair breakage at different levels in compulsive trichotillomania, the research concluded that the trichoscopy is useful in reaching the diagnosis without resorting to unfair procedures.
