The college of Medicine, University of Basrah, held an evaluation conference for the development of the college on Monday, January 8, 2024, in the presence of the Dean of the college , Prof. Dr. Murtada Mohammed Saleh Al-Mosafer, the assistant deans , the heads of scientific departments and the quality assurance department.

Where a number of bright points in the college were presented and discussed in order to keep and develop them in the future.

The existing obstacles were also identified and solutions were proposed to ensure  solving all problems to get the college forward.

Scientific plans were discussed and emphasized, which include scientific research published in two scientific journals that belongs to   the college, magazines and international journals.

The conference included several axes, including the emphasis on specialized seminars and conferences, as well as infrastructure and developments through the establishment of new classrooms and the  sports hall, as well as discussing the future plan, confirming that the college obtains the accreditation of the National Council of Medical Colleges of Iraq, as well as developing the educational process and paying attention to the student as he is the beneficiary of the educational process.
