Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, and on the occasion of the founding of the University of Basrah, the College of Medicine hosted, for the fifth year, the Holy Qur’an Competition to memorize Surat Al-Nour for female students for the faculties of the medical group (General Medicine, Al-Zahra Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Pathological Analysis).

 20 female students from the medical group participated, and the jury decided to honor the first five places.  The student, Asmaa Fadel, from the College of  Medicine, won first place.  While student Ruqaya Yacoub got second place.  The third place went to the College of Pharmacy, and the fourth and fifth place went to the College of Medicine, student Fatima Ahmed and student Naqa Majed.
