The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah contributed to serving the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Qais Kazim Baqir

On the occasion of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, a number of faculty members, employees and students of the College of Medicine participated in the University of Basrah procession to serve the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing. The service included providing food and drink to the visitors, in addition to providing all services from cleaning campaigns and providing medical and therapeutic support to the visitors.
