The Council of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah held its first session for the academic year 2024-2025 today, Wednesday 11 / 9 / 2024, headed by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Qais Kazim Baqir, and in the presence of the Dean's assistants, the Council's rapporteur, and heads of scientific branches to discuss its agenda.

The session included discussing preparations for the new academic year and some directives related to undergraduate students, in addition to discussing the affairs of faculty members and employees in the college.

The Council also discussed some important topics related to scientific promotions.
