The President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, accompanied by the Director of Construction and Projects at the University and the Advisor to the President of the University, visited the College of Medicine at the University of Basra and was warmly received by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, where Al-Zahraa Hall (peace be upon her) was inaugurated after it was maintained and rebuilt with modern, non-flammable materials according to the recommendations of the Civil Defense. It was equipped and supplied with all modern devices in line with the number of students and the plan of monthly conferences, seminars and workshops organized by the College of Medicine.

The President of the University also inspected the sports hall to see it, as it provides a suitable environment for practicing sports and physical activity for students. It is worth noting that this hall is equipped with the latest technologies and various sports facilities and is an ideal place to implement various sports activities.  Whether it is team sports or individual sports, in addition to that, the sports hall provides opportunities to organize university and local sports tournaments and events, which enhances sportsmanship and cooperation among students. The Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Nofal Ali Al-Mubarak, presented the Creativity Shield, presented by the Children's Branch to the President of the University, in appreciation of his efforts in supporting the projects of the College of Medicine. The President of the University also praised the efforts made by the members of the college, which contribute significantly to the progress of the college and the achievement of great achievements, hoping to provide more giving.
