The Basrah University / College of Medicine organized a scientific symposium on the latest developments in diabetes, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, the Dean of the College of Dentistry; Assistant Prof. Dr. Fateh Al-Khaqani, and the Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine for Administrative Affairs; Assistant Prof. Dr. Qais Kadhem Baqer. The symposium aims to follow of the latest developments in various diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of diabetes. The symposium included a number of scientific lectures covering various aspects of diabetes. The symposium recommended increasing awareness of diabetes and its clinical complications, increasing attention to healthy nutrition and regular exercise to prevent diabetes, and preparing brochures to increase community awareness of diabetes and its complications.
