The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Basrah, College of Medicine held a Scientific symposium in cooperation with the Iraqi Society of Blood Pressure, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, the President of Basrah Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Wissam Al-Radini, professors of internal medicine from the University of Baghdad and the College of Medicine of Nahrain, and Professor Dr. Dhir Yahya Al-Baaj, a cardiology consultant from the United States of America, with the wide participation of cardiologists, kidney disease specialists, and endocrinology and diabetes consultants from the cities of Baghdad and Basrah. The latest research has been presented and developments in the subject of 
‎‏"Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Syndrome were presented, and ways of prevention and treatment were discussed, as well as how to deal with complications resulting from these diseases, in cooperation with cardiologists, kidney, endocrinology and diabetes doctors.
