The Council of the University of Basrah at the College of Medicine held its tenth regular session with all its members in attendance.

 

The Council of the University of Basrah at the College of Medicine  held its tenth regular session, chaired by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, and attended by the assistants and all members of the Council. The Council discussed the academic promotions of college members at the College. Review the latest scientific developments related to academic promotions and the importance of adhering to academic and administrative standards in this regard. The Council emphasized the need to monitor the progress of procedures in a precise and organized manner to ensure the expedited promotion of deserving college members.

The College's student representative, Muammal Abdul Mohsen, was also hosted to discuss and follow up on the affairs of undergraduate students. The issue of postponing studies for some students in exceptional cases was discussed, in addition to addressing absenteeism rates. Decisions were made regarding how to handle submitted requests in this regard in accordance with university regulations and instructions.

The Council also approved the supervisory committees for postgraduate studies, in addition to identifying the committees to discuss dissertations and theses. Some amendments to the academic workflow in graduate studies were also discussed to ensure a higher level of academic and administrative efficiency in these programs. The results of the diploma were also approved for external examinations. Some issues related to college members at the college were also discussed, including a study to develop the academic work environment and cooperation between different departments. The need to provide the necessary support and continuous guidance to college members was emphasized to motivate them to achieve the best academic results. and adhere to the university calendar.
