Meeting of the Deanship of the University of Basrah - College of Medicine with the fifth-year students

 

The Deanship of the University of Basrah - College of Medicine, represented by the Dean of the College; Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs; Professor Dr. Jassim Muhammad Salman, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Khattar Musa, and the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Firas Taha Mansour, held a meeting with the fifth-year students in the presence of the legal advisor to discuss the obstacles facing the students' progress. Several suggestions made by the Clinical Groups Representatives were discussed.

The Dean urged students to pay attention on following up on education and working hard to achieve the main objectives of the medical education process.

The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs spoke to the students and urged them to review the instructions and commitment to them.

The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs also provided an explanation of the importance of regular attendance at clinical training and communicating with teachers during office hours.

The examination instructions were reviewed by the legal advisor, Ms. Batoul Lafta.

This meeting is a part of series of initiatives adopted by the College Deanship to communicate directly with students to identify obstacles and listen to suggestions to overcome difficulties and achieve the best results in training of students. It was also recommended to hold a second meeting that includes Clinical Groups Representatives of the fifth year with the members of the College Council.
