The Dean of the University of Basrah - College of Medicine , Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, participated in the scientific workshop organized by the Doctors Syndicate, Basra Branch, in the presence of the President of the Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Wissam Al-Radini. The workshop discussed the scientific research integrity risk index, Iraqi journals, and research integrity. The workshop aimed to discuss the challenges and risks facing researchers in Iraq when publishing research in scientific journals. The workshop also touched on several topics, including ensuring the integrity of data and research from tampering or falsification and the importance of publishing research in journals with high and recognized standards. It also addressed how to deal with predatory or low-standard journals. These scientific workshops contribute to raising awareness among Iraqi researchers of the importance of adhering to scientific research standards and the necessary guarantees for publishing high-quality and credible research. The workshop was also attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Taher, Head of the Quality Unit, Professor Dr. Ammar Salman Dawood, Head of the Classification Unit at the University of Basrah, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Khadija Sami, and Dr. Mays Basil.
