The University of Basrah - College of Medicine contributes to serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)

The University of Basrah - College of Medicine contributed to serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak. This was on the occasion of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, where a number of employees and students of the College of Medicine participated in the University of Basra procession to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing. The service included providing food and drinks to the pilgrims, in addition to providing all services, such as cleaning campaigns and providing medical and therapeutic support to pilgrims heading to the holy Karbala, as part of the services of the medical detachment. It is worth noting that the detachment includes examining and treating emergency cases, providing free medicines, following up on chronic cases, in addition to providing health awareness to pilgrims, while providing medical equipment and first aid supplies around the clock throughout the pilgrimage period. This initiative is part of a series of activities organized annually by the University of Basra to serve the community and promote the spirit of human solidarity on religious and national occasions
