In the efforts to expand the academic and research cooperation and strengthen the international academic relations, the College of Medicine held a virtual meeting on Zoom application at 12:00 PM on Sunday, the 10th. of August, 2025. The University of Basrah - College of Medicine represented by its Dean Prof. Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarakand and members of the College Council and the counterparts from the College of Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University, UK represented by Prof. Kevin Chia and Prof. Saad Taher.
 The meeting discussed future cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the fields of medical education, exchange of academic expertise, and activation of dual visit programs, in addition to developing joint educational and training programs, which would contribute to improving the quality of education and academic service on both sides.
This meeting comes within the context of the strategic direction of the University of Basrah - College of Medicine towards opening up to Reputable international Universities and enhancing its presence in international academic forums.
