The Ministerial Team for Institutional Accreditation visited the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah to follow up on and review compliance with institutional accreditation standards at the college.
This visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's efforts to ensure the quality of higher education in Iraq
During the visit the infrastructure, facilities, and medical and educational equipment in the college were inspected.
In addition, the academic accreditation committees were monitored, and the performance of the committees responsible for applying institutional accreditation standards was evaluated.
The quality of laboratories and scientific equipment was also verified.
The ministerial team praised the College of Medicine's achievements in completing the procedures for granting institutional accreditation, and commended the efforts made by the Quality Assurance Unit as well as the heads and members of all axes.
It is worth noting that this visit also aims to enhance academic and administrative performance in the college in order to support the college in obtaining institutional accreditation
