The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, along with the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Jassim Muhammad Salman, met today, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with a group of Lebanese students accepted into the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah across various academic stages, as a follow-up to the "Study in Iraq" program approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
During the meeting, the students' situation and needs were followed up on—including their academic progress, university housing, and transportation—working to resolve the obstacles facing them and emphasizing the facilitation of all matters for them.
It is worth noting that the program aims to promote cultural and educational exchange between Iraq and other countries and to provide educational opportunities for international students in various academic disciplines, in order to enhance Iraq's position as a hub for higher education in the region
