The University of Basrah obtained the first place for the Higher Education Award in Asia for the year 2021 (Time Higher Education award Asia 2021).This is because of the continuous support of the President of the University of Basrah; Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the unremitting effort of the members of the International Classifications Unit, and the other colleges of the University. This first place of the Creativity and Arts Award is at the level of all Asian Universities for the year 2021, followed by international Universities such as Beijing University of International Culture of China, Zhejiang University of China, Hamad bin Khalifa University in the State of Qatar.It should be noted that the University of Basrah is the first Iraqi University that obtains the first place of the Higher Education Awards in Asia.
