The  University of Basrah - College of Medicine hosted the competitive examination for applying to the Obesity Specialty Certificate in Iraq, in the Basrah Center for the Arab Board for Health Specializations. A group of students from different governorates of Iraq participated in the examination .
The committee included a group of doctors; Dr. Jassim Dagher Saud, Dr. Faleh Mohsen and Dr. Abdul Kareem Abdul Jabbar. This hosting came for the cooperation between the College of Medicine and the training centers, where Basrah leads the study centers in the field of obesity and metabolism. The Dean of the College of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, visited the examination hall as part of his daily tour to inspect the course of the teaching and met with the members of the committee as well as the participating students from Ninawaa, Babil and Basrah governorates. The Dean was accompanied on the inspection tour by Assistant Prof .Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman; member of the Central Committee for the Follow-up of Electronic and In-college  Learning at the University of Basrah.
