The department of  Microbiology  at the  University of Basrah - College of Medicine, held a seminar entitled: Immunological detection of some inflammatory biomarkers for diagnosis and prediction of the fate of bacterial respiratory infection in children with immunodeficiency in Basrah, for the research projects of postgraduate students. The research aims to:
1. Investigation of the immunological molecular discovery of the most important inflammatory biomarkers.

2- Clinical examination to find clinical signs of bacterial respiratory infections such as (fever, runny nose, cough, congestion of the sinuses or lungs, sore throat) in children receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and cortisone, and in children with immunodeficiency.
3- Bacteriological study to detect bacterial pathogens in respiratory tract infection and determine sensitivity.
