A master’s thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed the study of mortality and morbidity patterns, with a focus on occupational allergies among employees of the Basrah Oil Company. The research presented by the student Raghda Essam Saleem aims to study mortality rates among the company’s employees for the years 2017 and 2018, as the death rate among employees increases with age, the death rate among females is lower compared to males. As for the causes of these deaths, external causes of death, such as accidents and assaults, were the most common causes, followed by malignant tumors. The research concluded that the mortality rate among the company's employees was lower than expected. This means that the deaths among the employees of the Basrah Oil Company are less than the death rate in the province of Basrah.
