The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, won the second place in the Chess Championship held in the College of Dentistry for male and female students on Monday 28/3/2022 and under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and in cooperation with the Student Activities Department in the college represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Jalal Abdul-Zahra and a trainer Arts Intisar Abdul Majeed Jaafar. 14 teams participated in the tournament, including 5 female teams. The judging committee for the tournament was composed of the President of the Basrah Federation, Khaled Khudair Al-Salihi, and the international chess referee, Judd Lutfi Chess. Congratulations to our creative students, and thanks to the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mortada Muhammad Salih Al-Musafir, and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqer, for providing the great support to student activity.
