The research presented by the student Rabea Adnan Challoub aims to show the extent of myeloid tuberculosis prevalence while studying the clinical, laboratory and management characteristics of myeloid tuberculosis patients in Basrah governorate. As tuberculous spondylitis or myeloid tuberculosis is secondary to either pulmonary tuberculosis or intestinal tuberculosis and may be the first manifestation of tuberculosis. Myeloid tuberculosis, also known as Pott's disease, is a serious, advanced disease that requires careful evaluation and aggressive treatment. The research concluded that the prevalence and characteristics of spinal tuberculosis patients follow the global trend, although many differences were recorded, they were not statistically significant. Also, surgical treatment is still superior to the conservative method in improving neurological deficit.
