The college of Medicine, University of Basra opened the new study halls in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, and the Assistant Dean of Scientific affairs , Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqer, and assistant dean for administrative affairs assistant professor dr. Nawafel Ali Mubarak .Where the halls were established according to the latest specifications  and equipments with a capacity of more than 260 seats to accommodate large numbers of students. The opening of these halls coincided with the start of the new academic year 2022-2023 for students of the first stage. The computer lab was also opened in the college after it was equipped with a large number of computers.
