The Deanship of the college  of Medicine / University of Basrah, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Qais Kazem Baqir, honoured Mariam Azher Abdul Ghafoor, one of the students of the fourth stage of the college of Medicine / University of Basra for  publishing her novel Smokey (what is meant to be born as a human). A copy of it was given as a gift to the Dean, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, as it is the policy of the college to take care of the artistic talents of the college students in addition to supervision of their academic achievement.
