Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research visits the college of Medicine, University of Basrah

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, visited the college  of Medicine / University of Basra, accompanied by the Governor of Basra, Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani, the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Administrative Affairs, the Director General of Studies, Planning and inspectionand a number of deputies. Where he was received at the college by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqer, heads of scientific branches and a number of teachers, where he opened a number of modern classrooms in the college and was briefed on the educational environment of scientific branches. He elaborated that the College of Medicine in Basra is one of the specialized educational institutions recognized for its leadership, praising its clear contribution to serving the community and employing the results of its scientific research in the fields of treatment and health care. Its scientific staff actively sought to provide preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic services to the community and increase the momentum of medical education in line with the goals of the university institution and its academic mission. He also stressed the importance of enhancing the training climates of students in order to achieve the goals and effectiveness of quality in the educational environment and the associated development of specialized skills among students and enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge and pay attention to research areas that provide global cooperation at the level of joint research and exchange of scientific experiences. He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has succeeded in making a fundamental amendment to some paragraphs related to the mechanisms of disbursement from education funds to break bottlenecks and reduce the effects of financial challenges, which will give space to build and develop the scientific capabilities of universities and open more horizon for the implementation of specialized programs in primary and postgraduate studies.
