The Dean of the college of Medicine / University of Basra Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer attended the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Medical colleges in Iraq. The meeting was held at the college of Medicine, Al-Ameed University in the holy province of Karbala. In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of the colleges of Medicine and the Dean of Al-Zahraa college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mazin Al-Hawaz The meeting dealt with the most important issues common to the work of the colleges of medicine and the health departments of the Ministry of Health. The efforts of the health departments in cooperation with medical schools to  solve obstacles, if any, were also praised. The subject of accreditation was also discussed with the deans of  medical colleges in detail and the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding this topic. Also, matters were raised related to the comprehensive standard evaluation exam that will be conducted for students of the sixth stage of medical colleges, in addition to that the meeting addressed many other important matters related to medical colleges in Iraq.
