Board research at the college of Medicine, University of Basrah discusses Myocardial Dysfunction Assessment By Echocardiogram In Neonatal Sepsis

A Board research, at the college of Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed Myocardial Dysfunction Assessment By Echocardiogram In Neonatal Sepsis .The research presented by student Farah Mohammed Habeeb aims to Assess the presence of myocardial dysfunction in neonates with sepsis and compare to healthy neonates by echocardiography. And Study myocardial dysfunction in relation to selected variables and laboratory finding  of neonate with sepsis. The research concluded that Most of the patients with neonatal sepsis had some degree of myocardial dysfunction represented by an abnormality in at least one echocardiographic parameter mainly Tei index, Mitral and Tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion. The greatest proportion of patients had left ventricular dysfunction, while only minority of patients had RV dysfunction.
