The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, hosted on Tuesday, 6/6/2023, the written and oral competitive exam for submission to the  training fellowship for bariatric  surgery And metabolic disorders for the academic year 2023 / 2024, which is a local fellowship under the auspices of the Arab Council and the supervisory committee for studying in Iraq,  that accepts senior doctors who obtain the Arab or Iraqi board certificate or its equivalent two years after granting them the title of specialization, and doctors from all governorates of Iraq are accepted, and the study period is two years. This hosting came within the framework of cooperation between the college of Medicine and training centers, where Basrah leads the study centers in the field of obesity and metabolism. The Dean of the college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, also visited the exam hall as part of his daily tour to inspect the progress of the teachings and met with the members of the committee, as well as the participating students who came to study this year, who are five doctors, one of whom failed to attend the exam and four attended as follows
