The Dean of the college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, accompanied by the visiting professor from the University of Oakland in New Zealand, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan, visited Al-Kawthar Center for Nuclear Medicine. It is noteworthy that Al-Kawthar Nuclear Medicine Center in Basra is the first center specialized in the production of radioisotopes for medical purposes, and has advanced diagnostic services available at the level of Iraq and the region. It is equipped with modern devices and technologies to treat cancer patients  and diagnose early cancer cases . It has been equipped with the latest reactor (cyclotron) produced produced by the famous pioneer American company in the field of medical technology General Electric Where the center and its diagnostic capabilities were reviewed by  the visiting professor who expressed his admiration for it.
