The Council of the college of Medicine  University of Basra held its periodic session chaired by the Dean of the college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer  and the Dean  assistants, in the presence of all members of the Council to discuss its agenda.

The session included discussing some guidelines regarding the approval of the results of the second round exams  for  students of preliminary studies.

The council also discussed steps towards accreditation as departments heads were directed to review all requirements for obtaining accreditation.

During the meeting, the head of the internal medicine department , professor Dr. Ali Rahim Hashem, was honored after the end of his assignment, and a number of professors were honored on the occasion of their promotion to the rank of professor.
