The Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine at Basra University organized a workshop on caring for colostomy in children, in cooperation with the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Basra Children's Specialized Hospital. The workshop, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Zahra, was held at Basra Specialized Hospital and discussed colostomy in children and its complications, and included practical training on how to care for it in children. The workshop targeted a segment of doctors, medical assistants and nurses who work in children's wards.
