The Council of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basrah held its periodic session under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, in the presence of the Dean's assistants , the Rapporteur of the Council, and the heads of scientific departments , to discuss its agenda.

The session included a discussion of some directives related to mid-year exams for primary students, in addition to discussing the affairs of teachers and staff in the college.

The Council also discussed some topics related to graduate students in the college and scientific promotions.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Jawad Kazem Al-Bazouni was honored for finishing his assignment as the head of the pharmacology department , in recognition of his efforts and his performance of his assigned duties to the fullest, offering him sincere thanks and appreciation.

Prof. Dr. Nizar Samir Abdul Wahab, Assistant Professor Dr. Thamer Fawzi, Prof. Dr. Hanadi Abdul Qader, Professor Dr. Wajdan Nazar Ibrahim were also honored for obtaining the scientific promotion after meeting all the requirements of scientific promotion, wishing them and all teachers continued success in order to enhance the scientific biography and serve our dear country.
