 A master's thesis in the College of Medicine, Basra University, discussed the patterns of obstructive sleep apnea in patients with pituitary tumor by student Hussein Ali Noyer. The aim of the study was to find out whether there is a variation in the response of obstructive sleep apnea in patients with pituitary tumor when the treatment method differs. The researcher concluded that the surgery to endoscopy the base of the sphenoid through the nose reduces the severity of the symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea, but the results were not statistically significant Likewise, no difference was found in the severity of obstructive sleep apnea in patients with large pituitary gland tumor, whether the tumor was secreting growth hormone or not.
