Board research at the College of Medicine at Basra University discussed the difference between an appendectomy with laparoscopic surgery and an appendectomy with open surgery. The research presented by student Abdullah Makki Hasan aims to compare the difference between the two procedures in terms of the time of the operation, as well as pain and inflammation of the wound and the duration of hospital stay after the operation. The research concluded that laparoscopic appendectomy is the ideal procedure for treating appendicitis.
