The College of Medicine at Basrah University hosts a consultant neurologist in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Aktham Al-Rikabi

 The College of Medicine at Basrah University hosted the Iraqi expatriate doctor and consultant in neurological diseases in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Aktham Al-Rikabi.  He presented a scientific lecture on brain diseases and stroke to fifth-year students, postgraduate students, and the board, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, and a group of college teachers.  Al-Rikabi recommended the need to develop a plan for joint cooperation between him and the College of Medicine by giving electronic lectures to primary and postgraduate students and providing him with a complete and detailed curriculum to open postgraduate studies on the Iraqi Council on Stroke Medicine.  In addition to developing research projects and joint titles for cooperation and research, and assigning college journals to the University of Basrah.  He also recommended developing a complete plan to open a stroke treatment center affiliated with the Basrah Health Department, through which stroke disease will be evaluated and treated using modern methods using medications or catheter intervention of the brain’s arteries.
