The Scientific Research Services Unit at the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah held a scientific lecture for sixth-year students on Introduction to SPSS, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Murtadha Al-Musafer.

 The lecture was presented by Dr. Raghda Essam Selim
 It covered an introduction to the uses of the SPSS program in scientific research, as the program is used in many scientific fields, and the word SPSS is an abbreviation for the full name of the program, which is the statistical package for social sciences. It is a set of lists and tools through which the data obtained by the scientific researcher through questionnaires can be entered or interviews or observations, and then analyze them. SPSS relies on digital information, and the program is distinguished by its great ability to process data.  There was also a discussion with the students regarding statistical consultations related to their graduation research. It was attended by a number of teachers and sixth-year students.
