The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, signs a memorandum of understanding with the Basrah Health Directorate and the Basrah Medical association


A memorandum of understanding was signed, updated and renewed between the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, the Basrah Health Directorate, and the Basrah medical association , and cooperation is ongoing.  The memorandum stipulated that graduated doctors should work in health institutions and thus develop their work and teaching and obtain accreditation from the National Accreditation Council for the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah.
 Al-Musafer spoke about the memorandum that was signed two years ago with the Basrah Health Directorate and the medical association. The real mirror of the College of Medicine is the Basrah Health Directorate and the Basrah medical association, as the College of Medicine was keen to take feedback from them, including its great importance for developing the college, the curriculum, and scientific research, as well as solving  problems in society.
 The memorandum was signed for cooperation in the field of building, evaluating and implementing medical educational curricula with the aim of qualifying medical staff who are scientifically, professionally and ethically trustworthy and capable of providing health services to citizens and cooperation in the field of scientific research and conducting solid scientific research that contributes to finding solutions to health problems and developing health services provided to society.
 Cooperation will also take place in holding various scientific activities such as conferences, courses, seminars, workshops, etc.
 In addition to exchanging written books, published research, magazines and scientific periodicals, conducting mutual visits by corresponding departments to exchange experience and advice, and attending administrative and scientific meetings and joint committees for the benefit of both parties. Most importantly, the  general director  of   Basrah Health Directorate will be a member of the College of Medicine Council and the Dean of the College of Medicine will be a member of the Council of  Basrah Health Directorate. 
 According to the agreement, media cooperation will take place in publishing and disseminating scientific, cultural and social activities in writing and on websites and other sites.
 The memorandum also included providing the Basrah Health Directorate with the necessary facilities to conduct scientific research proposed by the College of Medicine staff in a way that contributes to improving the level of health services provided,  to study new health problems and  to enrich medical knowledge after approval by the joint committees.
