The Basrah University / College of Medicine, in coordination with the Basrah Health Department, held a scientific conference on the Corona pandemic, in the presence of the President of Basrah University; Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the College of Medicine Dean, his scientific and administrative assistants, the College of Dentistry Dean and members of the faculty. He was also present at the conference via the (Zoom) platform the Basrah Health Department Manager; Dr. Abbas Khalaf Al-Tamimi, and other speakers. The conference was held in college and through the electronic platform. The conference discussed multiple topics; like the current death rate from the pandemic and the extent of its decline, and the teaching members of the College of Medicine accomplishent in treating patients and following up on treatment regimens, especially Dr. Ali Rahim Hashem, a consultant of internal medicine who had an active role in this matter. The attendees recommended the necessity of intensifying efforts, overcoming obstacles, and joint cooperation to limit the spread of injuries.
