Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah held an administrative seminar on developing human resources skills.

 The symposium, which was lectured by Murtadha Abdul Hussein Muhammad, a lecturer at the College of Business and Economics, aims to enable participants to understand the importance of human resources management in the work environment, and to develop their individual and collective skills effectively, with the aim of achieving excellent performance and enhancing the success of institutions.  In addition to enabling participants to understand the importance of human resources management in the work environment, and to develop their individual and collective skills effectively, with the aim of achieving excellent performance and enhancing the success of organizations.

 The symposium discussed the concept of human resources management, the importance, goals, functions of human resources management, and the skills that a human resources employee must possess, including effective communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of the field, priority management, proactive skill, recruitment and selection, emotional intelligence, and effective listening.

 The symposium also recommended the necessity of working on self-development and indicated that the best way to gain self-respect and self-confidence is achievement, and the best commodity for investment is the human being because he is capable of growth and development in various circumstances. The best way for institutions to succeed is through developing the skills of individuals in institutions, focusing on the concept of performance evaluation, and shedding light on  The challenges facing human resources management at the present time and the main characteristics of effective institutions, highlighting the importance of talent management as an essential part of human resources management.
