As part of the University of Basrah’s celebrations of the sixtieth anniversary of its founding, and in the presence of the Governor of Basrah, Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani, a number of members of the Provincial Council, members of the University of Basrah Council, a number of official figures, and a large number of professors, employees, and students.
 The celebration was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqir, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Khattar Musa, and a number of college teachers.
 The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, honored the distinguished professor in the College of Medicine, Dr. Salman Kazem Ajlan, and the distinguished employee, Mrs. Sahira Hamza, in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in the college.
