The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah held a meeting for members of the examination committee for the OSCE exam for the branch of medicine in preparation for the final clinical exam for the sixth stage on Saturday 6/22/2024. The examination mechanism was agreed upon as well as the time specified for it. The details of each station were explained to the teachers participating in the exam
The clinical exam will be in the form of an OSCE and will include 6 stations distributed as follows: three clinical stations on clinical examination, a station for medical history, a station for medical social communication skills, and the last station for clinical skills. The exam time has been set at two and a half hours, divided into 10 minutes for each. Exam Station The exam begins at 9:00 am.
The blue map and its details for the clinical examination were agreed upon in accordance with the educational objectives of clinical training for the sixth stage and the outcomes of the College of Medicine. The score for the clinical exam will be 30 points, with five points for each OSCE station
A comprehensive explanation was also given to the patients undergoing the exam by the OSCE exam preparatory committee headed by Professor Dr. Ali Rahim Hashem one hour before the exam began, and they were given complete instructions about what was required of them after obtaining their consent regarding participation in the clinical exam.
