The Council of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah held its regular session under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqir, and in the presence of the Assistant Deans, the Council Rapporteur, and the heads of scientific branches, to discuss its agenda.
 The session included honoring the former Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, upon completing his assignment as Dean of the College, in gratitude and appreciation for his outstanding efforts in developing the educational process and his effective role during the assignment period in serving the College and elevating it to the highest ranks, offering him our sincere thanks and appreciation and wishing him more success.  progress and success.

 The Council also discussed some topics related to the admission of postgraduate students to the college and academic promotions, as well as approving the results of the second round for preliminary studies students.
