The President of University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, and members of the Medical College Council, visited the University  Hospital Project site. The date of handing over the University Hospital to University of Basrah  was determined during the meeting chaired by the president  of the University and includes three hours of discussions and suggestions between the College Council and the engineering staff of the University Hospital in whom they pledged to continue working and handing over the hospital on the scheduled date.
The project details were also reviewed, which greatly corresponding to the requirements of training and the development of specialized medical skills, in addition to explain the project expansion plan, which will include adding new operating theaters and  Outpatient  clinics (including orthopedic surgery specialty). It was agreed to provide the required  equipments for orthopedic surgery.
