
The University of Basrah at the College of Medicine, board research discussed the importance of the role of EGFR in Colorectal cancer (CRC ) and its relationship with clinical-pathological parameters in Basrah. The research presented by our student Nadeem Alawi aims To assess EGFR expression in CRC and its relation to clinicopathological parameters. Colorectal cancer (CRC ) is the third most common cancer worldwide, affect both male and female almost equally. The mean age at presentation is in the fifth to sixth decades of life.
The most common histologic type is conventional adenocarcinoma. The research concluded that there is no significant association between EGFR staining in CRC and clinicopathological parameters.
